I made this site originally with the intention to blog about my rag quilts and to show case a little bit of the behind-the-scenes that it takes to make them. However, over the past few months, and my new found love for everything Pinterest, this has evolved into more of a DIY/Idea/What’s Cooking type of blog. And I’m having a lot of fun with that.
A little background on myself. I’m wife to one awesome husband (who is quite the handy man/DIY man himself) and mother to an almost 2-year old little girl. During the day I masquerade in the world of corporate Marketing. At night, I spend as much time with my daughter as possible. Once she’s down for the count, I exhaust myself by editing photos, working on interesting projects I find on Pinterest (or elsewhere), trying out new recipes (most of the time, only to discover I’ll never make THAT recipe again). I’m just a bit neurotic like that.
I’ve developed an obsession with modern fabrics. And am trying to teach myself how to sew more in depth pieces. This involves several phone calls to my mother to provide explanation! I really want to get into sewing more home items, i.e window panels, pillows, duvets, etc. All this really just gives me an excust to buy more fabric! Can you blame me!?
